Statement of Customer Privacy Rights and Sierra Tel Long Distance's Handling of Confidential Subscriber Information In accordance with CPUC General Order 168, consumers have a right to personal privacy, to have protection from unauthorized use of their records and personal information, and to reject intrusive communications and technology. Sierra Tel Long Distance respects customer's right to privacy, and handles confidential subscriber information in accordance with this right. Sierra Tel Long Distance's policies comply with applicable state and federal law addressing the treatment of customer's confidential subscriber information. To provide its customers with better information regarding the products and services that meet their needs, Sierra Tel Long Distance or its affiliates may refer to customer's confidential subscriber information. Upon notification from a customer that the customer wishes to restrict Sierra Tel Long Distance's affiliates from accessing this information, confidential subscriber information will only be available with the customer's written authorization and only for the purpose specified by the Customer. Sierra Tel Long Distance does not disclose confidential subscriber information to third parties without the express prior consent of the customer. |
